“Palak Shaljam Delight”

Ingredients

  • Oil 3-4 tbs
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp
  • Hari mirch (Green chilies) chopped 2
  • Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 small
  • Lehsan (Garlic) crushed 1 tsp
  • Tamatar (Tomato) cubes 1 large
  • Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
  • Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp
  • Dhania powder (Coriander powder) ½ tbs
  • Palak (Spinach) chopped 1 & ½ Cups
  • Shaljam (Turnip) boiled & cubes 2 medium
  • Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed ½ tsp
  • Garam masala powder ½ tsp
  • Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1-2 tbs

Method

In pot, add oil, cumin seeds, green chilies and mix well.

Add onion and fry until brown.

Add garlic and mix well.

Add tomato and mix well.

Add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and mix well.

Cover and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Add spinach and mix well.

Cover and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes.

Add turnips,mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Add black pepper crushed and mix well.

Sprinkle garam masala powder, fresh coriander & serve.
