Recipe: Hunza Tea
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- Filtered water: 4 cups
- Mint leaves: 12
- Basil leaves: 8
- Green cardamoms: 4
- Cinnamon stick: 2 gm
- Jaggery: 20 gm (adjust to taste)
- Lemon juice: To taste
Method of Preparation
- Boil Water: Add 4 cups of filtered water to a tea pan and bring it to a boil.
- Add Ingredients: Toss in mint leaves, basil leaves, green cardamoms, and cinnamon stick. Stir gently.
- Sweeten: Add jaggery and let it dissolve completely.
- Simmer: Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes to infuse flavors.
- Add Lemon: Turn off the heat, strain the tea, and add fresh lemon juice to taste.
- Serve: Pour into cups and serve warm.
