Grain-Free Superfood Roti

Zero Grain Roti Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Sunflower seeds – 1/2 cup
  • Chia seeds – 1/2 cup
  • Almonds – 1/2 cup
  • Coconut powder – 1/2 cup
  • Water – as required

Method of Preparation:

  1. Grind the Ingredients:
    • Grind sunflower seeds, chia seeds, almonds, and coconut powder separately into fine powders using a grinder or food processor.
    • Combine all the powders in a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • Gradually add water to the mixed seed powder and knead into a soft dough.
    • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Roll the Roti:
    • Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a thin roti using a rolling pin.
    • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking while rolling.
  4. Cook the Roti:
    • Heat a clay pan or cast-iron pan on medium heat.
    • Place the rolled roti on the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on one side until it forms light brown spots. Flip and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes.
    • Repeat for all rotis.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve hot with a side of chutney, vegetable curry, or yogurt for a wholesome meal.
