Ingredients

  • 2 green cardamom pods
  • 2 cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 cup chopped potato
  • 1/2 cup green peas (fresh)
  • 3/4 cup water

Coconut puree

  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon green chili
  • 1 teaspoon rock salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Other Ingredients

  • few fenugreek leaves for sprinkle

Method

  1. Heat a pot and add the cardamom, cloves, and cumin. Saute for 2 minutes on medium flame until the spices become fragrant.
  2. Add the potato, green peas, and water to the same pot. Cover, and cook for 15 minutes on medium flame until soft.
  3. Place all the coconut puree ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the fenugreek to the pot. Cook for 2 minutes while stirring.
  5. Switch off the stove, add the coconut puree, and stir. Cover for 10 minutes, then serve warm with chapati or rice.
