Ingredients
- 2 green cardamom pods
- 2 cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 cup chopped potato
- 1/2 cup green peas (fresh)
- 3/4 cup water
Coconut puree
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 1/4 teaspoon green chili
- 1 teaspoon rock salt
- 1/2 cup water
Other Ingredients
- few fenugreek leaves for sprinkle
Method
- Heat a pot and add the cardamom, cloves, and cumin. Saute for 2 minutes on medium flame until the spices become fragrant.
- Add the potato, green peas, and water to the same pot. Cover, and cook for 15 minutes on medium flame until soft.
- Place all the coconut puree ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Once the vegetables are cooked, add the fenugreek to the pot. Cook for 2 minutes while stirring.
- Switch off the stove, add the coconut puree, and stir. Cover for 10 minutes, then serve warm with chapati or rice.
