Ingredients
Spiced Papaya
- 2 cups raw papaya cubes
- 1 tablespoon curry leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon chopped green chili
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 cup water
Curry
- 2 tablespoons roasted peanuts
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 cup water
Other Ingredients
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon rock salt
Method
- Heat a pot, and add all the spiced papaya ingredients. Cover and cook on low flame for 15 minutes.
- Place all the curry ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Heat another pot, and add all the other ingredients, except the rock salt. Roast until the spices become fragrant.
- Add the blended curry and the roasted spices to the pot of spiced papaya. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Switch off the stove, add the rock salt, and stir. cover for 10 minutes.
- Serve warm with chapati and chutney.
