Nut Butters

Here are three delicious nut butter to add some excitement to your dishes!

  • Peanut butter – Add it to your smoothies as a topping, or include it in the base. This butter goes with chocolate, strawberries, and bananas.
  • Almond Butter – Add it to desserts to replace oils/milk-based butter, or simply stuff it on a date and enjoy.
  • Coconut Butter – Perfect to apply on chapatis and paranthas. Its texture is similar to ghee.

 

Peanut Butter

Ingredient 

  • 1 cup raw peanuts (100 grams)

Method

  1. Place the peanuts in a pan and roast on a medium flame for 10 minutes. Then allow them to cool.
  2. Transfer the peanuts to a blender and blend for 5-7 minutes, Ensure that you only blend for 15-20 seconds at a time, or your blender will overheat.
  3. First, your peanuts will convert into a powder. You may feel like they will never turn into butter, but soon the powder will turn into a buttery substance.
  4. Transfer butter into a jar. can store for 5-7 days.                                                                                           Tips: If the butter sticks to the side of the blender, scrape it down and blend again.

 

Coconut Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 dry coconut (gola)

Method

  1. Scrape off the external brown layer of the dry coconut and cut it into small pieces.
  2. Transfer the pieces into a blender and blend for 5-7 minutes. Ensure that you only blend for 15-20 seconds at a time, or your blender will overheat.
  3. First, your coconut will convert into a powder. You may feel like it will never turn into butter, but soon the powder will turn into a buttery substance.
  4. Transfer butter into a jar. Can store for 5-7 days.

Tip: If the butter sticks to the side of the blender, scrape it down and blend again.

 

Almond Butter
