How To Prevent Glucose Spikes (Insulin Spikes)

Belly fat is proven to be the worst in terms of risk of lifestyle-related diseases. Glucose spikes (read insulin spikes) promote belly fat. Here are some ways to prevent glucose spikes

Start your day with healthy fats like nuts & seeds – almonds, walnuts, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, etc).

Eat high protein, savory breakfasts like egg, sprouts, and dal chillas instead of sweet options. If you consume poha/ Upma kind of breakfast, mind your carb portion, and balance it out with plenty of veggies and protein.
1 tsp isabgol/ Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water before lunch/ dinner.
Make sure to consume at least one cup of fiber-rich veggies (raw/ cooked) and a cup of lean protein with each meal.

Go for a gentle 10 min walk post meals, an additional 10 min, if you have eaten something sweet.
