What is the Difference Between Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese as Far as the Manufacturing Process?

From the tutorials I’m seeing, it looks like the same process minus the pulling and stretching of the mozz. Am I just slow or?

Mozzarella and cheddar cheese are both made from milk, but the manufacturing process for each cheese is slightly different.

Mozzarella cheese is made using a process called pasta filata, which involves heating and stretching the curd to give the cheese its characteristic texture. After the milk is heated and curdled, the curd is cut and then heated in water until it becomes stretchy. Cheddar cheese, on the other hand, is made using a process called cheddaring. After the milk is heated and curdled, the curd is cut into small pieces and then heated again. The curd is then stacked and pressed to remove the whey and compact the curd. This process is repeated several times, and the cheese is then aged for several months, during which time it develops its characteristic flavor and texture.

So while the initial steps of the manufacturing process for mozzarella and cheddar cheese may be similar, the stretching process used to make mozzarella gives it a unique texture and flavor that is different from cheddar cheese.
