Mixing Sweet Fruits with Citrus Fruits

What? Sounds like a bit too much, right?

Well yes, it’s not the end of the world if one doesn’t follow this habit, but I just want to share one extra bit of knowledge, so you can make the best food choices for your body

Do you know of the concept of food combining? It’s basically that some foods digest well together while others do not

In Nature Cure, we understand that different foods require the stomach to release different digestive enzymes, and the process of digestion activity is quite different for different foods.

As for fruits, most sweet fruits have a relatively higher level of starch & fructose. They are mostly alkaline in nature while citric foods are less starchy and more acidic. Both need completely different digestive processes. A mix of these foods and their separate digestive juices in our gut could create fermentation, gas & bloating

For smooth digestion, while having one single fruit at one time is super ideal, you can combine soft sweet fruits like banana, papaya, chikoo, and custard apple (shareefa / sitaphal).

On the other hand, you could have oranges along with Sweet Lime (mosambi), pineapple, grapes, grapefruit, and other such sour, citrus fruits.

As for melons, they’re not to be combined with any other fruit and are best eaten alone
